Taking a Mental Break…

This blog post is a participant of The Sunday Post, a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It is a chance to share news. This post recaps the past week, showcases books and things I have received, and shares news about what is coming up for the week on my blog.

I took it easy this week with my writing productivity. That means I didn’t get much writing done, but I did do a lot of cleaning and organizing. Cleaned and organized my pantry and did some dusting around the house. I don’t know why doing these sorts of things helps recharge my brain, but I definitely felt a lot more refreshed once I got some of it done.

I finally placed my ebook on preorder! And I already got my first preorder, which bumped the book into the top 1k in an Amazon category. I hope Tootsie’s story finds its way to more readers. I’ve been having the most trouble getting these paperbacks to be printed. I went ahead and used another service, so I can get them in and sent off to reviewers before the release date. I’m hoping they come in by next week. I hate doing things right down to the wire. But alas, this is all a learning experience, and I’ll know what I’ll need to do next time.

The weather has been warm again. And rainy. I already miss the cold and not looking forward to the start of the unbearable heat… ?

My Valentine’s weekend will be spent with my fur baby. Can’t wait till the day after so I can load up on discounted candy!

  • Congrats on your book!

I do enjoy reorganizing things…cleaning, not so much, but since I have a housekeeper, I just touch things up in between.

I like the look of that James Stewart movie.

Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.

    • Thank you very much. Yees, I love organizing. I’m always looking online for new storage ideas. LOL.

The James Stewart movie was a good one.

      Have a great week!

Congrats on the book! And I agree-the best part of Valentine’s day is the day after candy prices!

Sometimes it’s those mundane tasks that help clear the cobwebs. Glad to hear it helped you. Discounted candy is a plus after Valentine’s Day. I don’t have any special plans, just driving home today while listening to an audiobook. Have a lovely week!

    • Yeah, it’s weird how that works. But I’m glad to stay productive during those times.
I love listening to audiobooks while driving!

  • I have a friend who loads up on chocolate the day after too! Congrats on the preorders!

  • Congratulations on your book and on taking some time to clean and organise, that is always good for your mental state and wellbeing, and I plan to do the same this coming week as I am off work. I hope you have a lovely Valentine’s Day with your fur baby, take care and happy reading. ?

    • Thank you for the encouragement! 🙂 My Valentine’s Day has been lovely and quiet. And the fur baby is being lovable as always.

I had no idea there was an old Nancy Drew movie!

    • Oh yeah, there were like four Nancy Drew movies that came out in the ’30s. They were fun movies! I never saw them before, either, so it was a real treat 🙂

Happy Valentines Day to you too!

  • Discount Chocolate tastes delicious! Congrats on your book- so exciting! A good cleaning can be so clarifying- Have a great week!

  • I like to take mental breaks between books. It’s when I get all the cleaning done! 🙂
