Sunday Update – 2022.06.19

This blog post is a participant of The Sunday Post, a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It is a chance to share news. This post recaps the past week, showcases books and things I have received, and shares news about what is coming up for the week on my blog.
I received some wonderful news that had made my entire day. I was informed that The Arrangement had been nominated for Best First PI Novel in the 2022 Shamus Awards! The news was an absolute shock. It’s crazy to see my little debut indie book surrounded by so many heavy-hitting NYT/award-winning/bestselling traditional authors on the nomination list. I never thought I would ever get a chance like this. I’m forever grateful that someone took a chance on Tootsie’s story and it resonated with them enough to nominate it in this prestigious award! The winners will be announced in August, and I’m so nervous. But whatever happens, I’ll still be grateful that my book made it this far. It really motivates me to keep writing.
