These past few months have been busy. I haven’t posted any blog content in a while, because the majority of it was boring ‘still working on the book’ kind of stuff. I’ve actually been working on multiple books, with a hard deadline in June. I feel the anxiety of this book’s release. The audiobook for The Blackmail is still being worked on, so unfortunately, there won’t be another March release this year like it was last year. I’m trying something new with this book, and I fully expect for there to be some bumps along the way. But I’m certain that this will be well worth the wait for readers once it’s out.
I did an experiment last month to see if The Arrangement might be a good book for non-readers to get into. I was pleasantly surprised when I got the amazing feedback. Non-readers are tearing into this book and reading it in less than a day. And they really enjoy the fast-paced story. I will be keeping this in mind for my subsequent books, now that I know my stories are resonating with non-readers. This makes me so happy as an author!
I submitted The Arrangement to my very first mystery/thriller-related book contests. I’m nervous about the results, but I’m hoping the judges might fall in love with Tootsie’s story, like so many others already have.
