Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!
Persistence really does pay off! This week, I spoke with the acquisitions person at my local library about carrying my book. Apparently there was a bit of a misunderstanding, and she has passed along my book to be catalogued in two of the local libraries in the area. I can’t wait! I will definitely take a picture of it on the shelf when it happens. I’m glad I didn’t give up from the first rejection.
My newly sprouted plants have been withering and yellowing, despite them being in self-watering pots. I also noticed some furry mold on he dirt. I can’t understand what’s going on. I tried spraying the dirt with neem oil, but the mold keeps coming back. I thought maybe it was because they were being kept in an enclosed greenhouse, so I took them out and placed them on my windowsill instead. I just hope the cat leaves them alone… We’ll see if that makes a difference in their growth. I wish I knew what was going on.

This Week’s Movies

Congrats on getting your book catalogued at the library! Those vintage movie posters are awesome.
Thank you! I am beyond thrilled about this.
This week’s movie selection was really enjoyable 🙂 Hope you enjoy your week!
Congrats on your book being cataloged! that’s awesome. 🙂
Fun looking movies! I can see how so many of these could be pulp covers. 🙂
Thanks! And yes, I had no idea a lot of these movies were based on books. Scandal Sheet is based on a book called The Dark Page.
As much as I love the pulp covers I really should watch more older noir-ish movies!
I wish I could offer helpful advice about the plants, but alas, I have a black thumb. 🙂
Yeah, me too, it seems. And I love gardening!
