I can’t believe January is over already. What a rollercoaster of a month. This was a great week of book progress. The audiobook production is already underway, and I’ll be hearing some of the finished chapters within the next day or so. I’m excited! I set a release date of Tootsie’s book to be March 9th. In the meantime, a press release has been sent out to book bloggers and websites to hopefully garner some interest and send out review copies.
I started a Tumblr account this week, too! I mainly did this to connect with other readers and writers of Detective Fiction and Mysteries. I think I like Tumblr a lot better than Pinterest for this sort of thing.
I’m really glad I started this blog. I’ve never been more excited to do weekly posts about things going on in my life as well as share a glimpse of my writer journey. I was hesitant at first because I wasn’t sure what I would be able to say, but I surprised myself. I’m glad I got over my fear and took the plunge. This blog is also helping me stay more accountable.
It’s been pretty cold recently, and it’s only going to get colder next week. Winter is certainly not over yet. I love days like these because it gives me an excuse to cozy up in my blankets. I’ve been drinking a lot of hot tea lately. The Celestial Seasonings® Raspberry Zinger herbal tea is my latest addiction. I mix in honey, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, and coconut milk, and it seriously tastes like a strawberry milkshake. Yum!

This Week’s Movies

Congratulations on your writing! I wish you all the success! Happy Sunday! 😀
Thank you very much! Enjoy your day! 🙂
Glad you took the plunge and started your blog!! It sure does help to be more accountable, like you say. I find blogging a refreshing and fun distraction from reality and try to get to it as much as possible. Not always possible, but at least the intention is there.
Have a good week and good luck with all the endeavors!

Thanks! Yes it’s definitely refreshing ad fun, and I enjoy visiting other blogs.
Ooh this is my first time here! Thanks for visiting my blog! Tumblr sounds fun- I have a Pinterest but don’t do a lot with it, sadly. And good luck with the writing!
That tea sounds wonderful. 🙂
I love old noir movies. All three of those look worth checking out.
Thanks so much for visiting. I have a Pinterest, too, but these days I just use it for research or recipe ideas.
The movie selection was great this week. I particularly liked “The Man who Cheated Himself”
I’m going to check that one out! 🙂
These are some interesting movie covers, and all are new to me. I love doing a wrap up as well and glad you chose to write here.
They were new to me, also. Doing these weekly wrap-ups are fun. I’m honored to be a part of this awesome blog circle.
Yay for old noir films. Congrats on the audiobook work.
Thanks! I love them, too.
I just listened to the first chapter of the audiobook and I love it!
