Happy Easter!

This blog post is a participant of The Sunday Post, a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It is a chance to share news. This post recaps the past week, showcases books and things I have received, and shares news about what is coming up for the week on my blog.

The Easter weekend weather has been absolutely beautiful Perfect for getting outdoors and working out. I’ve been taking full advantage of the clear blue skies and light spring breeze. I finally got around to cleaning all the pollen off my solar panels. It was super easy with my 30-foot extension bush I got online. I also got my mini-greenhouse garden started. I planted silver-dollar eucalyptus, lemon balm, and mint. I’m crossing my fingers to see if I can get anything to grow in these self-watering pots within a moist terrarium environment. I can finally put this grow light to use, too. But I really don’t understand what the red light, blue light, and purple light settings mean. I researched it online, but it was mostly scientific explanations that was way over my head. I’m going on a whim and hope the purple light makes my plants grow.

I’ll be spending Easter with my family, and we will be having a small ham dinner, as we have always traditionally done.

Camp NaNoWriMo has started, and I’m already well underway with book 3 of Tootsie’s story. I’m a little over 5k words into it. The story is flowing great. I’m looking forward to editing this one further.

Book 1 is still getting lots of love from reviewers, even though Amazon has been rejecting their reviews from being posted on the book. It’s been frustrating, because the book still doesn’t show ay reviews due to this issue, and of course it hinders visibility and ultimately sales. Readers have been leaving the reviews in Goodreads, for which I am very grateful. In the meantime, I’m just going to continue to release new books in this series and hopefully new readers will eventually stumble across the series.

  • I love and miss the scent of eucalyptus! I used to own property that had a long row of eucalyptus trees on the border.

Enjoy your writing and reading, and thanks for visiting my blog.

  • Amazon is a frustrating beast when it comes to reviews sometimes! Sorry your book is caught up in it. Good luck with your campnano project!

Happy Easter! And good luck with the mini- greenhouse garden. that sounds like a fun project.

And oh no that’s awful about Amazon! I’m so sorry to hear that. Frustrating I can only imagine…

Those movie promos are something else! 🙂

    • Thanks so much! I’m really hoping I get something to grow this year!
Amazon can be frustrating sometimes, but I won’t let that deter me from writing 🙂

  • Ugh, Amazon can be such a pain. I hope you had a great Easter!

Just a wee warning: we planted lemon balm in our back garden 15 years ago and it’s an annual struggle to keep it from taking over the whole garden! ? Makes lovely tea though.
Glad to hear that your Campnano experience is going well.
