Gearing up for April

This blog post is a participant of The Sunday Post, a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It is a chance to share news. This post recaps the past week, showcases books and things I have received, and shares news about what is coming up for the week on my blog.

I’m getting ready for Camp NaNoWriMo, which runs from April 1-30. I will be using that month to write book 3 of Tootsie’s story. Meanwhile, I’m continuing to edit book 2. This book’s wordcount keeps getting higher after each chapter I finish. This book will definitely be much longer than the first one.

I’m going to be starting a mini garden in my kitchen, since I’ve had bad luck in the past with bugs, birds, and squirrels destroying my plants when I grow them outside. I bought a small greenhouse/terrarium, and 4-inch self-watering pots. I’m going to try some herbs, lavender, and maybe some beans. I’m just trying to keep my garden as small as possible. We’ll see how it goes.

  • I hope you have a productive NaNoWriMo! Good luck with your kitchen garden, sounds like a good idea. We have wild cats that roam our neighborhood that keep most furry pests away, but bugs are more of a challenge. Can’t believe it’s nearly planting season!

  • Enjoy your NaNoWriMo. I did it once, back in 2010, and published my sixth novel afterwards in 2014.

Thanks for visiting my blog, and enjoy your books.

Good luck with your garden! I should do the same thing since I have the same problem outside with pests. They wreaked havoc on our garden last time! And good luck with book three! Sounds fun!

More fun movies to look up. 🙂

  • I love that you’re watching all these old mysteries! Good luck with Camp NaNoWriMo! I’ll be writing this next month, but on my novella that I’m already 25% done with.

    • I love these movies. They are giving me lots of ideas for new Tootsie stories 🙂 Good luck with your NaNo project! I hope you finish it next month!
