Camp NaNoWriMo Adventures

This blog post is a participant of The Sunday Post, a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It is a chance to share news. This post recaps the past week, showcases books and things I have received, and shares news about what is coming up for the week on my blog.

Book 3 of Tootsie’s story is halfway done, but I can already see myself doing extensive edits and rewrites of this. This is one of the few times that I’m writing a story without extensive outlining. All I did this year was a paragraph summary of the story. I’m not sure what I was thinking, but so far, the words have been flowing, so I’m happy about that.

My mini-greenhouse garden is already growing! Four days after planting, the lemon balm has already sprouted. The mint has been the next to sprout about 5 days after planting. I’m still waiting for the eucalyptus. Everywhere I read online it said that those plants grew fast, but so far there has been no sprouting. I was also surprised at how difficult it is to find eucalyptus seeds online. I ordered some more just in case these current seeds end up being duds.

  • I hope the words keep flowing and that the camp has good snacks! 🙂 What do you plan to do with the lemon balm? I have planted it in the past and my intention to use it didn’t pan out!

    • Thanks, Victoria! I’m planning to use the lemon balm in tea, and a friend told me about a good bread recipe that calls for lemon balm.

I like the look of this weeks movie selections 🙂

    • Thanks Greg! I’ll be glad when I finish this first draft. I have way too many projects on my plate. lol I’m checking the garden carefully. I’m determined to get something growing!

    Love the movie posters.

    Have a great week!

  • I always find it interesting to hear about an author’s writing process and so I appreciate you sharing! I hope your writing is going well!

I am glad your garden is showing signs of growth already! Hopefully the eucalyptus will come in soon. My thumb is far from green–I’m terrible at gardening. I especially hate weeding, which I really need to do . . . Hopefully this weekend.

I hope you are having a great week!

    • Hi there! Thank you. I love sharing my writing journey with others.
I’m very surprised that my garden is growing this time. I definitely don’t have a green thumb either! 🙂
